We are looking for a passionate and skilled Events Producer to join our team from October 2023- March 2024 to create and deliver our unforgettable community major events.
The Events Producer will work across all of the Major Events of Auckland Pride with a key focus on the planning and delivery of the Pride March and the Pride in the Square Party, as well as assist on the Launch and Opening Events.
The Events Producer is a new role within Auckland Pride and has been created to provide greater capacity for the execution of our events, and ensure greater sustainability within the team. The role is focused on the execution of events, and would suit anyone from an events or Production Management Background.
Key goals for the role are to:
- Successfully and effectively deliver the Pride March.
- Successfully and effectively deliver the Pride Party.
- Work alongside the Creative Director to deliver the Festival Launch.
- Work alongside the Creative Director to deliver the Festival Opening Event.
This is a role suited to someone with strong organisational skills, care of community, people management and masses of creativity. We're looking for an experienced and passionate individual, with experience in producing, production management, stage management, or event delivery generally. They’ll be incredibly organised and self motivated, with strong time management and organisational skills. We’re also looking for a strong practice of tikanga Māori and knowledge of Te Ao Māori worldviews, along with a deep understanding of the experiences and intersectionalities of takatāpui and rainbow communities, and an understanding of, and alignment with our kaupapa.
